8.1 Updating both System software and Navigation database

Insert the USB stick into your navigation device. The following screen will appear:

Entering ‘Yes’ to proceed will bring up the following screen, allowing you to select your region (East or West).

The update procedure cannot be continued if no region or country is selected. The “Update” button will be greyed out.

Pressing the info buttons next to the regions (East/West) will show the list of countries that will be installed after selection.

You can also select on a country-by-country basis using the ‘Select by country’ button.

Here you can choose your preferred countries, as well as checking how much system memory your selection uses (‘Your percentage’). The estimated time to upload the changes to your device is also shown; in the above example this is around 26 minutes.

Once you are satisfied which your selection of region or individual countries, press the ‘Update’ button.

Pressing ‘Confirm’ will initiate the update and the system will cycle through the following two screens:

Once the update is completed you see the following screen. Now you are ready to make use of your new configured map.

Please note that a single journey from East to West or vice versa is still possible as long as the countries along the route are available in your configured map.

 8.2 Reconfiguring only Navigation database
(This process follows when your system software version on USB stick is same as that of your Navigation device)

Insert the USB stick into your navigation device. The following screens will appear:
